about YOUTH TAKE THE STAGE
Participants will understand basic techniques common to all dance genre’s (keeping timing, rhythm, counting, breathing) as well as be introduced to each dance genre (such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, ballet, and on and on).
A goal is to provide participants with a working knowledge of the various styles of dancing and their terminologies in order to give them knowledge needed to perform simple routines in an audition setting.

AGE RANGE(S): 7 through 18 with division into separate groups based upon age/experience and according to number of participants.
MAX PARTICIPANTS: A minimum of 10 and a max of 25 participants is desired.

NUMBER OF WEEKS: Ongoing through year with showcases approximately every 3 months
HOURS PER WEEK: 1.5
DAY SCHEDULED: Tuesday
TIME SCHEDULED: 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
OPPORTUNITY COST: $60 PER MONTH (with a 3 month minimum commitment desired)
LOCATION: Youtheatre Players at Westfield Palm Desert Mall
OTHER INFORMATION: There will be a nominal charge per seat for attendance at the showcase performances. Family and friends are encouraged to attend and participants are expected to pre-sell a minimum of 3 tickets to the performance.
PARTICIPATION FEE: A nominal surcharge is added to pay by credit card through PayPal or Square. All partial payment arrangements must be WITH PRIOR FORMAL ARRANGEMENT ONLY. A month is considered an average of four sessions; some months may be more, some may be less. Absences will not warrant a reduction in fee.
