all about adventures in theatre- PLEASE READ

by BOUT ADVENTURES IN THEATER: CPP’s Adventures in Theatre is a Spring and Summer Camp workshop and performance program in which participants learn and practice skills related to Dramatic and Musical Theatre (acting, singing, dancing) through instruction, theatre games, exercises and activities designed to teach while putting on a production.

Topics include stage direction, character development, pantomime, vocal, basic choreography, movement, improv, observation & focus, timing and much more.

After 30 years of doing theatre in the valley we have watched many Students develop friendships that last a lifetime. We have witnessed the positive difference theatre has made in their lives.

Richard De Haven

What can we say about Richard - Here's the life of the party. All fun and no work. Well Not really.
He has been with C.P.P. for over 20 years. He stopped counting years ago. Truth is he can't remember cause it's been too long.

He Has performed in countless productions and has worked even harder behind the scenes for C.P.P. Youtheatre players and the Riverside County and National Date Festival Musical Pageant.

Susannah Vera

Susannah is an absolute delight for the kids to work with. She started with us a child actor in middle school with our productions many years ago.

She went off to college earning a bachelor in theater arts and a minor in music. She also received a masters in script and screenwriting.

She returned to the desert with her immense knowledge in theater and teaching and is now the Palm Desert High School Drama Instructor.

We are lucky and blessed to have her creative and warm Spirit to help the kids thrive in the performing arts.

Chuck Balgenorth

Chuck has been a part of CPP/Youtheatre Players for over 20 years.

He has written many of CPP’s productions over the years and Riverside County and National Date Festival Arabian nights musicals for the last 17 years.

He has directed hundreds of children for countless musicals and straight plays,

As a Director, Producer, and Instructor Chuck’s joy comes from watching the kids thrive in theater. His belief is that every student deserves a chance to experience the magic of live theater regardless of background.
